Clever thieves are now using a “relay attack” to break into cars, hijacking the signal from a car owner’s key fob.  Here’s how it works:

The thieves  work in teams of two or more. One thief gets close to you, the other, close to your car. The hacking device in Crook Number One’s pocket sends a signal to Crook Number Two’s device, and Voila!, car unlocked, alarm doesn’t sound and you’ve been hacked. To combat this trend, experts advise drivers to wrap all key fobs in tinfoil to block the signal.

Jesus tells us to,” Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” He adds,”For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.

In 1985, an old building in the Polish town of Środa Śląska was being demolished ahead of renovation  when a vase was found beneath the foundation. Inside were more than 3000 silver coins, dating back to the 14th century. Estimated value, $120 million dollars.

However, Paul told the Corinthian church about a much greater treasure “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us”

If you are a believer in Jesus, the greatest treasure you own is not your home, your car or your 401K.  Your greatest treasure is “Christ in you, the hope of glory”.
