Megan Mahoney had plans of becoming an interior designer. Soon, however, she switched gears and began teaching ESL in Argentina. While in Argentina she started working with victims of human trafficking and that’s where she found her true calling.
She now works for Heartland Alliance, the leading anti-poverty organization in the Midwest. “Working with people at their most vulnerable stage… it’s the biggest privilege and the most beautiful thing to see.”
Solomon wrote, “A man ‘s heart devises his way: but the Lord directs his steps”. The old Yiddish adage, “Man plans, God laughs” mirrors this truth.
Someone once said,”Leave everything in God’s hands and eventually you’ll see God’s hand in everything”.
Clip a rose off a bush and soon it withers, grasp it tightly in your hand and it is crushed. Let it alone and it blooms.
Mandy Hale puts it this way,”When you let go, something magical happens. You give God room to work.”
