A police officer found a perfect hiding place for watching speeding motorists, however, after several minutes of waiting, he noticed that nobody was speeding. Confused, he decided to investigate and found the problem.
A 10 year old boy was standing on the side of the road with a huge hand painted sign which said “RADAR TRAP AHEAD.” A little more investigative work led the officer to the boy’s accomplice, another boy about 100 yards beyond the radar trap with a sign reading “TIPS” and a bucket at his feet, full of change.
Solomon wrote,“A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished”.
The Bible has many warnings, not unlike that “RADAR TRAP AHEAD” sign; warnings that are meant to help us avoid danger, not to condemn us.
In September 2011, 162 people died in the devastating Joplin Missouri tornado. Many died because they didn’t believe the warning tornado sirens–they assumed it was a false alarm.
On the evening of April 14th,1912, Titanic’s wireless operators Jack Phillips and Harold Bride had received ice warnings from ships in the area. One warning, from the ship Mesaba, came in at 9:40 p.m. (ship’s time). That message read:

The Titanic, traveling at 22.5 knots, was heading straight for that ice field.Another warning came from the ship Californian.The Titanic operator told the Californian operator to stop transmitting . That operator then went to bed.
The writer of the book of Hebrews wrote ,” …it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” That warning is meant to lead us to Christ so we can say with the Apostle Paul ” Oh death where is thy sting?
