A little boy was abandoned on a stranger’s doorstep in a Houston suburb, and the episode was caught on the homeowner’s doorbell video.

Wednesday night’s incident was in the same county where, several weeks ago, a distraught woman in handcuffs rang a doorbell and then fled.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday morning released the most recent video in an attempt to find the woman who left the child around 8:15 the previous night in Spring, Texas. It shows her running up to the door lifting the boy in the air by one arm. She rings the doorbell, drops the child and two bags, then runs back to a car.

The homeowner opened the door to find the child standing there. He is thought to be 2 years old and is in good health, the sheriff’s office said.

Ever feel like God has abandoned you? You don’t feel his presence, you feel overwhelmed, abandoned?

David wrote, “…when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

And , “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me.”

Jesus said,,” I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”. And, ..” lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

No matter how abandoned we feel, no matter how overwhelmed life becomes, we know that God never abandons his children. We know this by faith because,”…faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. Hebrews 11:1

Don’t give up before your miracle. The angels are cheering you on, your Savior, Jesus, is interceding on your behalf.  The host of heaven rejoices when you come to the Father in simple child-like faith, regardless of how you feel, and simply, trust him. By faith. Because he will never, ever abandon you.
